When Archer's fiancé' gets a late night call informing her that her niece who goes to school in Tennessee, has died, she sends Archer up to find out what's going on in the Volunteer State. Soon people are dropping dead all over the county and someone is out to kill as many sinners as possible before Archer and his team can stop them. As the body count grows, so do the stakes when this mysterious religious fanatic goes all out to bring an entire town to its knees.
