About This Book

15-year-old Lindsey leaves high school to work in her mom’s flower shop. When her mom, Mariah, dies suddenly, Lindsey runs the flower shop with her uncle, an Afghanistan wounded warrior returnee. She faces all the real world issues of making a business profitable and furthering her education.

She meets Brady, an Emergency Medical Services person who places an order of Christmas flowers for his mom. While out on a flower delivery she is the first person at an accident. As she attempts to help, she looks up to see Brady. She completes her GED and SAT and ACT preps. Lindsey and Brady admit strong feelings for each other after several meetings.

A year after owning the flower shop Lindsey decides to sell it so that she can accomplish her goal of a nursing degree. At Brady’s urging she enjoys her freshman college experience. She develops a friendship with a fellow nursing student who has a kidney donated from her mom. Brady and Lindsey’s love for each other grows. They plan to marry during the holiday season before she graduates. A Flight for Life helicopter crashes with Brady, now a paramedic, on board. Lindsey’s destiny and her possibilities fly in the face of change.
