Spiritual growth, sexual adventure, pursuit of identity ... The attractions of Tokyo vary for four young strangers whose destination appears to be the one thing they have in common. Chris, Delia, Sally and Jason are teachers who carry aboard their hopes, dreams, fantasies and lesson plans as they journey toward Japan. Each has a one-year contract to teach English at the Tokyo Institute of Technical Studies, a school unaware it has hired individuals whose personal passions and irreverent teaching methods may inspire students to reveal a secret imposed on them by its own administration. So it is that four young travelers forge a quirky alliance that sustains them through seasons of adventure, romance and death.
