About This Book

Gay Adam Parker, feeling lonely and horny too long, purchases Roger, a humandroid "buddy" on the order of Star Trek's Mr. Data, but the lifelike fully functional Roger is so versatile, witty, and has so much personality that he amazes, amuses, and complicates Noah's whole life with laughs, tears, fears, drama, and dangers. Adam plans to keep Roger his secret but that does not last long. His friends Bert and Chad find out when they barge in. Adam must explain it all when Bert thinks the inert person on Adam's bed is a cadaver - and maybe a victim of violence by Adam. Roger quickly becomes an important part of the social group. To everyone's surprise when Roger meets Fred, another humandroid like himself, he is smitten and that pair do what no one ever anticipated. Later Fred is kidnapped and badly damaged before Roger can rescue him. Then Roger is damaged saving a child's life and Adam must decide what to do since the repairs won't be able to restore the personality they have all grown so fond of.
