In Tales From Firozsha Baag, Mistry introduces us to Jaakaylee, the ghost seer, Majami, the keeper of the only refrigerator in the entire complex and Rustomjii the old curmudgeon. In 1991 he won the Governor General's Award and the Commonwealth Writer's Prize for Such a Long Journey. In 1995, he received the Giller Prize, the CommonWealth Writer's Prize and was short-listed for the Booker Prize for a Fine Balance.
