Tomorrow, Captain Paul Scott, surgeon, recently released from a Chinese prisoner-of-war camp, would face a court-martial.

Why would a surgeon with a brilliant records and a brilliant future prefer capture by the North Koreans to a dash for liberty with his own outfit?

Why did he refuse to obey his commander?

Why did he collaborate with the enemy?

Why did he sign a confession stating that he had helped load bombs with bacteria?

Why?

Witnesses against him would be men for his own outfit?

Witnesses who might have testified for him were all dead, except the girl he wanted to marry. Captain Scott wouldn't let her testify.
