Meeting a long-lost sister has been amazing, planning a future for her baby is delightful, but dealing with the father of her child and his sudden fear of her job as an extranatural paramedic is annoying.

Her job is dangerous, but she's damned good at it. Getting clawed up by a senior citizen is just par for the course, but her one-night stand takes offense. He puts wheels in motion that are going to change how she does her job and how soon she ends up on mat leave.

Things in Redbird are complicated, but with new friends and relatives being discovered and a support system appearing out of thin air, if you can survive it, it's a great place to live.
