What do you get when you combine cheerleader tryouts, two dates for the same night and a fifteen-year-old's yearning for fun and love....

Christy Miller decides this is going to be her spring; things are going to go her way. First she determines to become a cheerleader. But tryouts are tough, and not just because of the routines. Renee, who has the makings of head cheerleader, decides Christy isn't wanted on the squad. And Renee knows how to make life miserable for anyone who goes against her.

Then Christy gets caught up in the wonder of attending not one but two proms. As her plans unfold, complications set in with the guys, and her parents object.

Will Christy succumb to Renee's pressure to not even try out for cheerleader? Or will she discover Renee is right—she isn't cheerleader material? Will she get to the prom—with anyone? Will she leave a space in her heart for God or fill it with other tantalizing relationships?

Each question's resolution comes as a surprise to Christy that she couldn't have predicted when spring began.
