...that's what Jess thought this summer would be all about. Everything was falling into place with Reed, but a tragic accident at the beach has driven them apart.

Now Jess is hanging out with her friend, Andy. And Paula, up to her old tricks, is determined to get Reed back. Jess is sure that Reed is in love with Paula -- and now she's fighting to keep her eyes on the water and off Reed. Jess thought that being a lifeguard was tough, but hiding her true feelings is even tougher.
