Former ballerina Olive Carson is no fan of the holidays. Her dance career ended years earlier after an accident during a performance of The Nutcracker, so she grudgingly tolerates Christmas. This year she's in Seawolf Beach to help her very pregnant sister, who's been put on bed rest. How hard can running a small boutique be?

Her temporary next door neighbor, bar owner and volunteer firefighter Nate Tucker, doesn't care for holiday madness any more than Olive does. She likes that about him. Olive isn't looking for romance for Christmas, or any other time of the year, but Tuck's charm works its way past her defenses.
