About This Book

The voice in which I provide my writings are from my own personal experiences in relation to both my childhood and teenage actions that made impressions on my sensibilities. As I lived throughout South Central Los Angeles, I'm one of the thousands, whom Raymond Washington raised and nurtured. Most of my adulthood was spent inside maximum security level four prisons, where one never really grows up. We're like babies in a sense. Because we'll put almost anything in our heads, like a baby will in their mouths, when no one is looking. I am humbled by an awesome God, who in the course of life has placed angels in strategic areas of my paths and protected me. How many bullets did they reflect? How many guns did they cause to misfire? While my journey has been a tumultuous one, as I'm sure yours were too. I would like to be remembered as being someone determined to express love and compassion. I am truly a student of forgiveness. I would like to be remembered as being someone who tried to make places like this, unnecessary for kids at risk. I promise to share my experiences no matter how ashamed or embarrassing. I confess that my life hasn't been at all easy. I lived my life refusing to be a victim of unfortunate circumstances, and it's because of these angels that were placed in my life that I am able to share my life with you!
