Stryker's Knight

Cloudy Knight had no desire to work with her cheating ex-boyfriend on an undercover mission. All she wanted to do was ring his damn neck for breaking her heart all those years ago. However, even as she fought the urge to do him bodily harm she also had to fight the desire she felt for him. For some insane reason her feelings for him seemed to grow stronger by the minute. It was positively maddening how her entire body reacted to him that she was contemplating whether she needed to check herself into a mental hospital. Because, falling in love with his cheating ass again, would make her either crazier than a coo-coo bird or nuttier than damn fruit-cake. Or would it?
Stryker Kayne was anxious to work with Cloud on this undercover mission maybe then he’d be able to get her to listen to him. Years ago she’d witnessed what had been a horrible misunderstanding, assuming the worst she’d broken up with him right there on the spot. Of course that was after she’d slapped him so hard that his cheek had stung for a week. He needed to prove to her that things aren’t always what they appear to be. He also had to get her to trust him again if they were going to get through this mission alive.
And the only way for them both to stay alive was to yield to the call of their Spirit-Beast for each other and for their team. They had to realize that they couldn’t escape from or deny their mutual desire and attraction because the Spirit-Beast within them will never allow them to resist.
