Strike

Strike is a previously unpublished novella by the Australian poet David Campbell (1915-1979), who served with distinction in the RAAF during World War II. Campbell's story of bombing raids over enemy shipping lanes in the Timor Sea draws vividly on his own experience as a fighter pilot in defence of Australia's northern coastline. Campbell tells a story of danger and struggle, of the cruel loss of mates and the redemptive power of love.
