It is well known that base metal can't be turned into gold, but a life can be turned around. This is what happens to Rufus Nye, born into poverty in Medieval England during the first century of Normal rule, improving himself by learning to do more and better. He is bedazzled by Agatha, the daughter of Stonehaven Manor, out of his reach. Yet his heart doesn't recognize boundaries of birth and status, and his dreams drive Rufus to achieve, but will it be enough to reach the unattainable?
