About This Book

"

Stoker''s Shadow tells the story of the late Bram Stoker''s surviving family members and their struggle to come to grips with the veritable explosion of popularity enjoyed by his novel, Dracula. Florence, Bram''s widow, is torn between allowing the German company, Prana Films, to screen a film called Nosferatu and preserving the dignity of her husband and her family name. William, the son of Bram and Florence, is in favour of allowing the film to go ahead and doesn''t understand his mother''s reluctance.

Mary, the free-spirited young Irish woman living with the Stokers as a companion for Florence, is quite taken with London and all its mysteries. After being snubbed by Florence on several occasions, Mary finds escape in her copy of Dracula, and soon becomes infatuated with William, who shares her love of Stoker''s brilliant novel.
