Legendary Montana lawman Ben Stillman is transporting a prisoner, a former friend of his, back to the town where the man and his gang had robbed a bank, to stand trial. Stillman's also packing the stolen loot.
Along the way he picks up a young white woman and her Indian boy who are on the run from a pack of blood-thirsty human wolves led by a prominent area rancher. The rancher wants revenge on the woman, because she killed the man's son in self-defense.
Stillman finds himself on the run from not only the woman's enemies but from his prisoner's gang, as well. Turns out his prisoner double-crossed his partners, and now they want him and Stillman dead…and the money back in their hands.
