Starting Over

Sean Meriwether has just taken a very important call from his ex-wife. His fifteen-year-old daughter will be moving out from Chicago to stay with him permanently. It seems she and her stepfather do not get along. Besides being the Captain of detectives in his precinct in San Francisco and trying to keep his romance with Detective Maggie Desoto under wraps, he now has to manage his job and his daughter. Maggie and her partner PB, have the murder of a young financial planner to solve. Then there is the body of a philosophy professor from Berkeley found dead in the back of BART. All of this precedes the discovery of a dead girl left rolled up in a carpet near the Presidio. Nothing is ever easy for Sean and Maggie, especially the boat chase in San Francisco harbor. It's just another day at the office.
