For Lani Love nothing in life has ever been easy. It started with an overbearing father, a distant mother, and a highly controlled childhood. At nineteen she finally escapes her home life and heads to the warm city of Austin, Texas where she hopes the sun will melt away her painful memories. However she learns all too quickly that just because you leave a place, that place may not leave you. She finds that her past still haunts her, her father still controls her, and the demons of others still torment her. She begins to wonder if she will ever have a normal life until one day a stranger takes her hand and changes everything.
