A relatively low-tech solution to a high-tech problem. In this modern age, hackers are the biggest threat there is to national security. But the solution can be stolen and used for sinister purposes, in this case by a corrupt politician whose greed exceeds his loyalty. Enter John E. Smith, a senator who serves no one but himself. Smith's plan is to create coordinated attacks across the country. It requires a communications network that cannot be accessed by the intelligence community. Who better to get those networks from than the intelligence community's own research and development department? Once again Detective Logan is on the job with the illustrious Special Agent Samantha Jones at his side. And again the survival of our country depends on this two person team. But there's a twist; the man behind these seditious acts is someone Samantha knows and loves. Will that prevent her from doing what must be done? Not if Detective Logan has anything to say about it.
