For officer Willow Becenti, a half-Navajo member of the tribal police, the new ways are the best ways, offering her people a chance at a decent life, free from superstitions that have long held them back. So it's difficult for her to believe that Lonewolf's traditional skills can cure the critically ill child destined to be the next stargazer.
