While testing her skills as a pickpocket, Alex learns she has talents no one could have anticipated. The spells that prevent her from reaching her full potential have an unexpected side effect. While the enchantments are a curse, they're also proving to be surprisingly useful. The fae emissary they've been waiting for finally arrives to whisk Alex and Crowmon to the faery realm. They need to find out all they can about the old gods that they suspect are stirring. Their main goal is to find out where they're being imprisoned, so they can make sure it's still secure.
