Poppy Henderson trained as a beautician, but being vivid, outgoing, and incurably honest, didn't help when Maxwell's Department Store's clients had such unrealistic expectations. Determined on change, Poppy signed on with a temp agency, and found herself at the local hospital as secretary to senior consultant dermatologist Mr. Fergus Browne. Expecting an old fogey, Poppy was pleasantly surprised to find him much younger. Fergus, having suffered a series of incompetent secretaries, wasn't best pleased.
