Lexi Leighton's friend Peggy is returning to Cedar River, and only Lexi knows the reason why she left to have her baby and give it up for adoption Lexi wonders whether Peggy will have changed and whether they'll still be friends.Meanwhile, Lexi and her friends get involved in an environmental cause through the lobbying of their eccentric friend, Egg. He convinces them of some ways they can make a difference ecologically. They discover, though, that not everyone supports their "Save Cedar River Day" campaign.And not everyone is willing to allow Peggy to become a new person.Will Peggy's world stop turning again?
