Soldier's Wife

When World War II breaks out, Ken knows that for him the only right thing to do is enlist in the Air Corps. When his best friend and wingman is killed during their last flight of the war, Ken does as he's promised and goes to check on his buddy's wife and children. Realizing they have no way to support themselves, he proposes a platonic marriage so he can take care of them as he's promised to do so many times. Can love grow from such a shallow beginning?
