Before returning from his most recent tour in the U.S. Army, Jonathan Doone had spent his whole life running from commitment and home. A surprise visit from a private investigator leaves Jonathan with a life changing letter in his hands. Now he's forced to make a decision that could potentially change everything he has ever believed in.

Lizzie Kentis was a faithfully devoted sister and aunt until tragedy struck leaving her to fill the role of a single mother. But that could all change when a handsome soldier shows up staking a claim on things Lizzie's not ready to part with. While Jonathan and Lizzie try to find a middle ground and work things out, they start to have feelings that neither one is comfortable with.
