Smoky the Cowhorse

Smoky is a wild colt with a lot of spirit. From his early life on the open range he shows that he's a horse to be reckoned with, fighting off wolves and mountain lions alike. There's one predator he can't beat—man. But Smoky quickly realizes that Clint, a good natured cowboy, is his friend, who helps him to become the best cow horse in the Western territory.

Then Smoky's contented life on the range ends suddenly. He is stolen by a ruthless outlaw who tries to break Smoky's spirit with cruelty. Smoky's strong will helps him survive, but now he's Cougar, the meanest, most man-hating horse ever seen in a rodeo.
