About This Book

"July 1960?" Slattery muttered one more time. "Canada…it reminds me of an Air Force commander I used to know. He'd once been stationed at a place called Grand Forks. He told me about a base commander there…that was brought before a special congressional committee and questioned about a huge green fireball that was seen flying south to north, towards the Canadian border back there in the 1960s." Chris squatted, ran his finger over the edge of a piece of what appeared to be red glass. Finally, he stood back up. "The base commander had, it seems, put out a letter of warning to all base personnel to avoid discussing the fireball or be punished by an article of the military code…I can't remember the number, but I remember that you couldn't even talk to your wife about it." Sorocro walked toward the pile of debris. "Well, I heard that there was about three thousand pounds of the stuff." "Three thousand pounds!" Chris whistled again. "Yeah, those guys did an extensive investigation on the metal, and one thing's for sure, agent, that stuff wasn't brought to this earth by any airplane or black helicopter. We're pretty sure that what we found is a portion of a very large device which came into this solar system…and we're pretty sure that before it came into Earth's atmosphere, the metal had been in space for a very long time."
