Slocum's Grubstake

THIS TIME, SLOCUM'S ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LAW.

John Slocum was just trying to pan enough gold from his claim to buy a hot meal and a bottle of whiskey. But before long, a gang of masked bandits started robbing prospectors and mining towns everywhere from Palouse Flats to Virginia City. And every time the law thought they had the thieves cornered, they disappeared—leaving behind only horses and some useless footprints. Slocum didn't want to get involved—until some desperate lawmen recruited him to help track the bandits down!

If he knew what was good for him, he'd run—fast—right out of town. But as usual, Slocum's eye for trouble leads him right into some trouble of his own.
