‘Home for Retired Gentlefolk' didn't really describe Greyrigg Manor in the Lake District. To Amy Taggart who had worked there devotedly for years as Warden, it was more like a family; she and dear old Dr. MacFarlane had loved their elderly residents as much as they would their own relatives. But now Doctor Mac was dead, and a new broom was arriving in the person of his son Chris.
