About This Book

Marcie Roberts was a well known country western singer. For the past four years, she had been doing the same thing every night, night after night. She would be in one city one night, and another the next. There was never any time to see the city, go shopping or to visit the sights of the towns where she performed. There were a dozen people she knew in the crew, but they were all too busy to spend time with her. A stagehand reminded her not to go far because they needed to do sound tests, but she ignored him. She simply walked toward the big overhead doors in the back of the arena. Stepping out the back door of the large arena, she looked out over the huge parking lot. It was just beginning to snow. She did not know what she was looking for, but there had to be something interesting out there. Something that would make her feel alive again. Sing for Me takes place in 1995 in the city of Denver when the McNichol's arena and the Denver Mile High Stadium were located next to each other.
