Jamie Jones, once-rebellious daughter of the former alpha of Detroit's largest shifter pack, now finds herself following in her father's footsteps: the only female alpha among the city's shifters, an agent for the Supernatural Affairs Division, and an ally of Mollis Eth Hades.

Who needs a personal life, anyway? Between her pack and her work, Jamie's life has taken a back seat, and she's fine with that — she watched her father live his life the same way, after all, and she understands that sacrifice is part of the life of an alpha.

But her life takes a jolt when her boss, shifter and demigod Brennan Matthews, tells her he's resigning and wants her to take over as director of SA. As if that wasn't enough, she finds herself unaccountably attracted to a man she's grown adept at trading insults with. Parker Rowland is cranky, annoying, and so easy on the eyes she hates him a little. But the grumpy veteran is fighting a battle of his own… one that Jamie feels she can't even begin to understand.

When Parker's teenage sister is attacked by vampires, they're thrown together by circumstance, traveling a path of danger and betrayal. Both of them have forgotten how to truly live, but together, they might just figure out how to make a life… if the city doesn't fall down around them first.

Shifted Fate is a novel set in the Hidden universe. It takes place between Betrayer and Zealot.
