The fatality rate for lawmen in Mad River had been high, until Tim Parker came along. It took a while, but he nearly had the town under control and he hoped he'd soon be able to hang up his guns. He thought the days of trigger law were over. But a renegade halfbreed changed all that when he murdered the mayor.
