She Was Pharaoh is a fictional account of the life of Pharaoh Hatshepsut-Ma'atkara. More powerful than Cleopatra or Nefertiti, Hatshepsut may be the most powerful woman in history. During her thirteen years as Queen of Egypt, she created strong relationships with powerful and important people in the Egyptian government, which allowed her to easily claim her position as Pharaoh.
