About This Book

It's 1968, and sixteen-year-old Bobby Stuart is just trying to get by. His father is MIA in Vietnam, his mother can barely support the two of them with the money she makes waitressing, and his trailer park life makes Bobby the target of wealthy bullies who rule the school.

Life gets even more interesting when an emissary from the estate of Lord Charles Stuart of London shows up at the door. The man is there to investigate whether the American Stuarts are descendants of a long-exiled branch of the Stuart line—and possible heirs to the British throne.

In England, Bobby encounters people, places, and ideas that he'd only ever dreamed of. The Queen herself invites him to a private Beatles concert at Buckingham Palace, even as the Stuart family starts a campaign to name Bobby as the rightful heir to the throne.

Not everyone is pleased to see a young American heading toward the crown, however. Soon, Lisa Stuart, a distant cousin, and Prince Phillip begin a campaign to discredit and humiliate Bobby.

But both Bobby and the Queen have some tricks up their sleeves—and sometimes dreams really do come true.
