Startled by his change of words, her face cleared, as if she didn't know how to react. She was even prettier than when she was angry. He'd bet he couldn't handle her being happy.
"Oh, that's … Thanks. But …" She looked past him at the driveway, then to the right at his car. "You shouldn't park there," she said. "I have a new neighbor, and I don't know when they'll come home."
