Shattered, Broken and Reborn

Since the day she is born Unique Blackman is a unique person. “That’s what Momma” tells her. However, life is often unbearably cruel and leaves Unique feeling isolated from her unloving and verbally abusive, politically motivated father, Morris Blackman. On an unusually hot summer afternoon while playing hopscotch with her lifelong friends Ruby and Char, she meets and falls in love with Grant Johnson. Unique and Grant solidify their love and fill it with respect, and a bunch of children but all good things must come to an end. Soon Unique finds herself unraveling and spiraling out of control. She is shattered and broken beyond repair until she makes up her mind that enough is enough and decides to let God handle things… and is reborn.
