Shadows of the Past

When scandal forces Adeline to flee London society, she finds a haven in a tiny English hamlet in Devonshire, where she takes up the post of village schoolmistress. The young widow of the disgraced Sir Hugh Delahaye, Adeline reverts to her maiden name and is determined to leave the past behind.
