April 1, 2060 is the Republic of Luna's Independence Day. Thirty-two years later, the Earth's ancient religious and political quagmires threaten to pull apart everything that man has built. In a society with nothing more militant than a police force, the Republic must defend itself from the forces of ruthless domination. Shadow on the Moon is a mirror of today's problems transplanted to an airless world where all life is sacred and every resource precious. A world created by pioneers whose only religion is the humane treatment of one another in their common struggle to survive the ultimate hostile environment, space.
