About This Book

The serene white beaches, lush palms, and warm sun were just what Laurise needed during a break from her hectic reporter's job and rainy New York. So when her dear friend Claire called, sounding unnaturally disturbed, inviting her to come to Windwood on beautiful St. Thomas, Laurise felt compelled to go, totally unaware that her first glimpse of the island would nearly be her last.

As soon as Laurise arrived at Windwood she was greeted with the horrible tale of murder. A young woman had been found strangled, lying on her back with her arms crossed over her chest. All her jewelry had been removed and placed at her feet. A rag doll, laid out by her head, was dressed in a piece of her clothing and had a pin through it. The death had all the conventional props of voodoo—and it didn't take long for the threatening evil forces to take control. Laurise learned all too fast that shadows in strange places can play some very odd tricks, and some very dangerous and deadly games.
