Separation

Kar is an anomaly. Born as an ardent pacifist into a world of rampant warmongers, he finds himself isolated from everyone. His answer is to escape to another world via the illegal use of a transfer machine which allows his race to travel from planet to planet as they seek new worlds to conquer. Kar successfully builds a refuge on a foreign planet, but soon discovers he isn't alone. What follows is a game of hide-and-seek, as he endeavors to discover the identity of his neighbors. To his dismay, he finds that they turn out to be implacable enemies. However, after a few initial blunders, he forms a grudging alliance with the two intruders, and the three of them begin an adventure that sees them accidentally whisked off to another world. This unfortunate incident results in a battle with a megalomaniac bent on becoming the ruler of the universe. And, as if all of this wasn't enough, they also learn the surprising secret of immortality.
