Roland and Sherry were never close in high school--quite the opposite--and when they graduated, they each went their own amazingly successful ways, until circumstances and a woman named Delores drew them back together for an intimate moment in time. Time does have a way of changing things, but as one discovers through the story, those things do not always go as one would suspect. Life is filled with unexpected twists and turns. A surprising series of events takes place that deeply affects each of the characters in the story, and as Yogi Berra once said, "The game ain't over until it's over."
