Blissfully happy, adored by her new husband and basking in the success of her B&B business. Life for Katie seemed perfect. What could go wrong? 

Katie is happier than she has ever been. Her recent marriage to Dr. Piers Bannister is a dream come true as they settle in a quaint English village and cruise the canals in his narrowboat Tranquil Days. There's just one problem. Complicated by bad weather and a flu epidemic, Piers' long commute is keeping them apart, causing frayed nerves and mounting mistrust. A super committed doctor, Piers loses sight of what is important and attempts to solve the problem by keeping a secret.

When one of the B&B guests, a snobbish society lady befriends Katie, she gets herself involved in a nasty child custody battle. Katie is shocked to discover her ex-husband, a solicitor, is legal counsel. She knows about his checkered past and is painfully aware that he still loves her. She doubts his professional ability and seriously questions his motives.

Can Katie and Piers continue to embrace happiness and solve the harsh reality of the time they must spend apart?  Will the hurt of Piers' secret be more than Katie can forgive?
