Second Chances

The day Malila Vasquez, curator of The San Francisco Institution of Art, has dreamed of has finally arrived. She's worked long hard hours to see the museum's new Native American art exhibit come to fruition. She created it, and it showcases her own Navajo lineage. To add to her joy, three of her own paintings have been approved to hang in the exhibit. This is the big break she's waited for as an artist ever since her college days.

Then Lila receives a phone call that will change her world forever. Victoria, her old college roommate and a very wealthy woman, called to say she was dying and needed Lila's help desperately...immediately. Can she leave her new exhibit? Can she walk away from her first chance of notoriety in the art world?

But even more, can she say no to helping a friend, one who needs her so desperately?

What about Lila's career? Can she put it on hold? And even more, rushing across country to Victoria's bedside means she will come face to face with the only man she has ever loved--Joseph Neal Rodman III, Vicky's brother. Can her heart survive seeing him again? Can she live with herself if she doesn't at least try?
