About This Book
Sea's Dance is a futuristic tale of exploration, danger and deception. Professor Valeria Pelayrm was hired by the ConSect Interstellar Corporatin to decipher their collection of anient alien stellae, strange metallic monuments that were all similar but found across four different galazies. A starship was outfitted for the mission to follow the clues to their origin. The corporation hopes to gather exotic technology as a payoff, recouping the expense of the venture.
Valeria, with her alien pet Azkor, directs the mission.
Commander Warren Sykes has charge of the starship, The Weightless Sword. He and his crew would follow the convoluted, ancient directions that Val had discovered to a planet that might not even exist.
Captain Gabriel leads the squad of Elite Guards whose task is to protect the professor and assist her in accomplishing her mission.
Sea is one of these guards.
The alien, Azkor, is much more than he seems to be at first glance, although it is impressive enough. Val hides the fact that he is telepathic. With that gift and an incredible genetic memory the creature helps her with translating her discoveries. But Azkor is much more than a pet or helper and his true agenda remains hidden even as both Sea and Val are swayed by his power.
Within sight of the planet they'd sought, disaster strikes as their ship is disabled. The system is not empty as the reefs are filled with an incredible number of dead ships. Searching for some way to survive, seeking parts among the dead ships, Valeria and Sea also look for data to help their quest. The disabled ship isn't their only problem and as Val continues to work toward her goal, she and Sea find more impediments, but completing the mission brings more than the reward of academic justification... more than the women could ever imagine...
