Searching for Lola

When Sheriff Angel discovers his pickup missing, he's livid. Searching for his truck, he runs across his mate, Peri, one stubborn little sea otter. What do they have in common? Not much... Figuring Peri's a street rat and a thief, Angel learns differently when he follows the guy around. First, he's being forced to steal by a ruthless human. Second, he takes in street kids, giving them a safe place to live. Peri thinks of them as his family. They fight yet again when Peri won't help. So Angel "volunteers" him to find his truck. Though still arguing, they can't keep their hands off each other, but Peri won't commit. When Angel learns Peri has a terrible past that hinders his attempts to get his mate to love him, he doesn't know what to do. Between fightin', lookin' and lovin', will the mates ever come together? Or will they kill each other while searching for Lola?
