      About This Book

      These 28 short stories, most of them award winning, come from my 40 years of emergency medicine experience. Each story is based on a different medical illness, such as appendicitis, PTSD, and trauma. In my forty years as an E.R. doctor, I've seen the comic, the heroic, and the tragic.
