12 years ago, Liam left to join the SEALs. At the time, he and Alyssa were madly in love; he even had the ring bought. But when her brother was killed overseas, she could no longer stomach the idea of Liam fighting for his country. She went crazy, trying to convince him to find a way to get out of the service.
