Max Hooper's first and last love was a Mermaid by the name of Ashanna. Living in Islamorada, Florida on the Keys he and Ashanna over the years had three beautiful Womer daughters. Kalina was one of the beautiful Mermaid daughters that one day had to reveal herself to a young swimmer by the name of Roger Walker off Alligator Reef where she saved the man from two Black Tip Sharks. Roger did not believe until that point in his life that Mermaids were real, but here was one that had just saved his life. Kalina told the young man to forget her. The very last thing that any of the Womers (a Mermaid race) wanted was for Mermaid hunters to come along and upset their secret lives amongst man. For Roger Walker that was impossible. How in the world would this man ever forget the unbelievable creature who had saved his life and caused him to fall in love just that quickly?
