Hired to help look for prime minister's missing son, Gabriel 'Scorpion' Kelly quickly realizes the job is not going to be an easy one—not long after they enter the deadly wastelands skirting the edge of civilization, all of the search party is killed, save for Scorpion and one other man, the frustrating Love Ferrier. Despite the ominous start, and the fact they can't seem to get along for more than minutes at a time, Scorpion and Love press on in search of the missing boy and the ruthless killers who took him. But even as they strive to navigate their miserable surroundings—and their personal differences—outside forces threaten to keep them permanently apart.
