About This Book

Robyn was the epitome of curvy girl; from her deep, full cleavage to her narrow waist and accentuated hips, thick strong thighs, and her sturdy calves.  Some might describe her as 'built like a brick shithouse', or a 'big-boned gal', but Robyn preferred the word curvy.  She had never begrudged her curves; she was actually quite fond of them.  She was sick and tired of how society treated her and her body; even with all her curves, she was very feminine, but she longed for hard physical work and things that were considered 'manly'. She has a successful career as an artist, while also selling firewood in her Colorado community to make some extra money on the side. Happiest outdoors, she does have a boyfriend, Blake Harrington, who often makes her feel insecure, but she never seems to break free from him. When she finally gets fed up with Blake, she then starts her life anew and alone. When a grouchy local man, Jaeger Schmidt, calls her for firewood, she finds him an interesting character. At 40, Jaeger has worked locally doing contract engineering jobs since he was twenty-two years old, and he loved it.  He is 6'4 and 250 pounds of muscle and sinew; dark brown curly hair with a full beard, and dark brown eyes.  Working in the outdoors, physical labour, not cooped up in an office all day – that was real freedom.  On his downtime, he loved to hike, fish, hunt and trail run.  Something had happened to make Jaeger grow into this grouchy old man, a recluse who was not too friendly.  Blake was the epitome of a jock, good looking, muscular, blonde, and pretty arrogant and self-centered.  He thought Robyn was super cute but could not get over the extra pounds she carried.  True, she was not 'fat' and wore it well, but being who he was, he felt he should have someone who was a bit of a trophy and a lot more feminine.  But there was just something about Robyn that kept him coming back.  She was strong, and funny, and extremely kind and loving.  Something he knew he probably did not deserve.  He was a bit of a jerk.
